How this list was ranked
- Every row is cheaper AND longer-lasting. An original qualifies only when one of its five alternatives scores 85+ on similarity, costs less, and lasts at least 1 hour longer. That is checked per row, so the claim in the title is true of the table by construction.
- The dupe shown is the one that gains the most hours, not the closest smell. Those are different questions and the catalogue often answers them with different bottles — so similarity stays as a quality floor rather than as the ranking.
- Floors. Originals with at least 1,000 ratings and a price of $60 or more — under that, "cheaper" stops meaning anything. 58 originals qualified; the 30 with the largest gain are shown.
- Discontinued perfumes are excluded. A list you buy from should not lead with a bottle no retailer stocks.
- Similarity is an AI-generated estimate informed by community opinion. It describes perceived scent character and is not a statement of fact, and neither perfume is affiliated with the other.
- Prices are estimates of a full bottle in USD and vary by retailer, size and time.
